An alter-ego is a different version of yourself that you keep hidden away. It is a fictional idea but has its roots in reality. It is often used in horror films because the idea of having another personality/persona and not being aware or able to control it, is a scary idea.Foundations students explored this idea by creating their own alter-egos. Students used their skills in self-portraiture and color theory to render their portraits. One half of their portrait shows their actual self while the other shows their alter-ego. These alter-ego are either characters they identify with or brand new personas that they came up with on their own. Please enjoy some highlights from this project in the slide show below and check out more of these portraits on the 11th floor!
